John Cena’s Daring Red Carpet Moment Steals the Spotlight at the Oscars

John Cena may not have graced the 2024 Oscars stage in the buff on Sunday, but he certainly made an entrance that left audiences chuckling as he awkwardly strolled forward to present the award for best costume design.

The comedic exchange began when Jimmy Kimmel playfully initiated the bit, pondering, “Can you picture a scenario where a nude man dashes across the stage today? Wouldn’t that be absolutely insane?” Kimmel was, of course, alluding to the infamous moment in 1974 when Robert Opel streaked during the 46th Academy Awards.

In response, Cena humorously emerged from backstage, popping his head out to address Kimmel, “I’ve had a change of heart. I’m not up for the streaker bit anymore. … You should be feeling a bit ashamed for suggesting such a tasteless idea.”

The banter continued with Kimmel defending the jest, stating, “It’s supposed to be funny.” Cena, with a deadpan delivery, retorted, “The male body is not a joke.” To this, Kimmel cheekily added, “Mine is.”

Persistently pushing Cena to embrace the streaking gag, Kimmel pointed out, “You wrestle naked. Why not?” Cena, ever the quick-witted entertainer, corrected him, saying, “I don’t wrestle naked. I wrestle in jorts!” To this, Kimmel amusingly countered, “Jorts are worse than naked.”

The lighthearted exchange showcased Cena’s comedic flair and the playful dynamic between the WWE star and the seasoned host, adding a memorable touch to the 2024 Oscars ceremony.
