OLED iPad Pro is Reportedly in Production

The highly anticipated next-generation OLED iPad Pro appears to be on the brink of its debut, as fresh rumors have surfaced suggesting an imminent release. According to reports from the Korean-based source, The Elec, the OLED iPad Pro is slated to enter mass production in March, with an expected release date set for sometime in April.

These latest revelations align with previously disclosed timelines from notable Apple insiders, such as Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. As early as 2023, both Gurman and Kuo hinted at an impending announcement regarding the OLED iPad, with March 2024 earmarked as a likely timeframe. Gurman, in his Power On newsletter, went even further, hinting at the introduction of the iPad Air in two distinct sizes, marking a noteworthy expansion of the product line.

The prospect of an OLED-equipped iPad has been generating considerable excitement ever since whispers about the tablet’s luxurious display emerged last year. This marks a substantial upgrade for the iPad Pro, which, unfortunately, had taken a backseat to Apple’s emphasis on the iPhone, Apple Watch, and Vision Pro.

The OLED enhancement promises users an unparalleled display experience, coupled with the potential for improved energy efficiency. However, such advancements, including the incorporation of Apple’s formidable M3 processor, come at a price. Rumors circulating, notably on MacRumors, suggest a hefty price tag ranging from $1,500 to $2,000. The OLED displays alone are reported to be “three times the price of those used in iPhones,” potentially contributing to the delayed launch, as indicated by Kuo, now anticipated towards the latter part of Q1. As Apple enthusiasts eagerly await this technological marvel, the OLED iPad Pro is poised to redefine the standards of tablet innovation and performance.
